A very intense rum with a strongly woody touch due to 13 years spent in cognac barrels in a tropical climate before being rested in steel tanks in Europe. Dark, dry and with a slight note of old bookstore, it needs a drop of water to release seductive aromas of cloves, bergamot, gentian root and licorice. Its tannic character strengthens on the finish, with a particularly woody and peppery final breath. Very hot and tight, a rum that betrays the volcanic intensity of Reunion Island.
