Ardbeg Distillery unveils its new limited edition Ardbeg Scorch, a whiskey for lovers of new flavors. Aged in old toasted American oak Bourbon casks that have been charred to near destruction, Ardbeg Scorch is a whisky with a fiercely powerful profile. This whiskey has intense and persistent aromas of soot and smoke. On the palate, notes of grilled meat and licorice mingle with vivid notes of medicinal lozenges. This latest Ardbeg release is perfectly balanced and will appeal to the brand's discerning fans.
Founded in 1815, Ardbeg Distillery prides itself on producing the finest single malt on the island of Islay (IWC). Loved by whisky lovers around the world for its strong peaty flavor and smoky notes, Ardbeg's whisky is often recognized as the world's most peaty malt but is nonetheless renowned for its smoothness, a phenomenon dubbed the "peaty paradox." Since 2008, Ardbeg has won over 55 gold and double gold medals in various international competitions, including "Distillery of the Year" in 2018, 2019 & 2020 (IWC).
